New York is one of the greatest cities in the world. There are famous sites around every turn, mouth-watering restaurants, award-winning Broadway shows and something going on any time of the day. However, when it comes to planning a trip in the city that never sleeps, it is hard to decide what you want to do.
Here are the top 10 things to do in NYC

EMPIRE STATE BUILDING
I may be bias but out of all the best observation decks in NYC, the Empire State Building is the best! I would highly recommend spending a few bucks extra to catch a sunrise or sunset ticket slot.

9/11 WORLD TRADE CENTER SITE
Visiting the World Trade Center site is a must! The site consists of two fountains for all the lives lost on 9/11 and the 1993 bombing, a national memorial and museum as well as a terminal. We spent 3 hours in the museum and it was worth every second.

TIMES SQUARE
If you're going to NYC, Times Square at night has to be on the bucket list. You will find yourself surrounded by live attraction everywhere you look. If you are in for a late-night snack, eat and support at one of the local food trucks. During the day, there are tons of stores you can spend the day exploring and shopping at.

STATUE OF LIBERTY MONUMENT
The Statue of Liberty was a gift of friendship from the people of France to the United States and is recognized as a universal symbol of freedom and democracy. If possible, book a combo deal that includes a cruise to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. This is what a friend and I did and we loved it!

BROADWAY/LIVE SHOWS
If you have the time and are in the right season for the Broadway or live shows, spend the money and go to at least one! I have been fortunate enough to attend three and each was such an amazing experience.

BROOKLYN BRIDGE
The iconic Brooklyn Bridge connects Lower Manhattan and Brooklyn Heights. Known for its stone arches, the Brooklyn Bridge supports six lanes of vehicles (no trucks) and a shared pedestrian and bicycle path.

CENTRAL PARK
Nearly every NYC visitor heads to Central Park at some point, especially in the summertime. The park is filled with countless bridges, arches, slopes, playgrounds, and an old-century carousel.

GRAND CENTRAL STATION
If you are ever in need of transportation, Grand Central is your place to go. The terminal acts as a central hub for transit in Midtown Manhattan, offering rail, subway, bus, taxi, and airport service all within steps of the main concourse.

FLATIRON BUILDING
If you are looking for one of the most unique buildings to ever been built look no further than the Flatiron Building. It is a triangular 22-story, 285-foot-tall steel-framed land-marked building located at 175 Fifth Avenue in the Flatiron District neighborhood of Manhattan, NYC.

CHINATOWN
Chinatown in NYC is definitely worth a visit if you like a good bargain! The neighborhood is expansive, unique, and bustling with people.
