From the sun-soaked beaches to snow-capped mountains or dry desert, the largest state in America has so much to offer! Overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the Golden State has always brought in visitors from every corner of the world. The places to visit in California are endless but can attract the most diverse of interests.
Here is your guide to the top 10 places to visit in California

PALM SPRINGS
Palm Springs is known as the Golf Capital of the World and can be seen as a playground for the rich and famous. There is so much to do from the retro hotel stays, glamorous shopping, or taking a hike at one of the local trails.

SAN FRANCISCO
Overlooking the San Francisco/Frisco Bay, San Francisco is certainly one of the most fascinating cities not only in California but in America. When first arriving in San Francisco I was not only completely mesmerized by the Golden Gate Bridge but the many hills, ups and downs, and winding streets. There is truly nothing like it.
SAN DIEGO
San Diego is home to 70 miles worth of beaches, craft breweries, world-castles, museums, and the best Mexican food. There are a number of cities in California, but San Diego is hard to compete with because of its unique charm. Overlooking the coast, San Diego offers a wonderful climate throughout any season of the year. The city is also home to some of the best tourist spots such as the San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, Sea World and LegoLand.
TEMECULA/SONOMA COUNTY
If you are a wine lover, Temecula is a must-visit in the Napa Valley. However, Temecula offers so much more than just wine for my non-wine drinkers. Sonoma County is home to some of California's best restaurants, art galleries, and live music.
BIG SUR
California is known as one of the best states for a road trip. You will pass through a numerous sight-seeing spots such as desert, coastal routes, mountain ranges, etc. depending on the route you take. However, one of the most popular and scenic roads is Highway 1, which overlooks the Pacific Ocean from San Diego to San Francisco. The most fascinating spot on the route is Big Sur, where you can find the infamous Bixby Bridge.

JOSHUA TREE
If you are going for a desert vibe, the Mojave Desert is a must. Joshua Tree National Park is a wasteland that is home to the twisted cactus-like trees called Joshua Trees. There's also very little light pollution in Joshua Tree which makes the night sky absolutely epic.
WEST HOLLYWOOD
Located in the heart of L.A., West Hollywood is home to the legendary Sunset Strip, fashion-forward Design District, and Santa Monica Boulevard. A friend and I were even able to snag free tickets to the Dr. Phil show the following day while walking down Hollywood Blvd.

SANTA BARBARA
Santa Barbara is located approximately 100 miles north of Los Angeles and is a magical beach town. Whether you enjoy hiking, fine-dining, water sports, relaxing on the beach, culture, or a great night-life, Santa Barbara has something for you.
UNIVERSAL STUDIOS
Visiting Universal Studios Hollywood is worth it if you enjoy the film scene. The park is filled with rides, replicas of movie sets, shows, screenings, and tours of Hollywood's most famous movies. There are 2 attractions dedicated to the Hogwarts wizard saga, plus themed shows, shops, and restaurants.
YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK
A must-see place for my outdoor enthusiasts in Yosemite National Park. The park is filled with waterfalls, redwoods, alpine lakes, lush valleys and scenic roads that will terrify yet amaze you.
