Costa Rica is filled with lush rainforests, beaches, and rich culture. The country is one of Central America's greatest gems and is nestled between Nicaragua and Panama. Costa Rica is filled with natural beauty and the best weather year-round.

Due to its location between the Caribbean and the Pacific Ocean, Costa Rica offers everything from rugged covers to white-sand beaches. Visitors can expect a wide range of activities from ziplining, monkeys, white water rafting, snorkeling.

Language: Spanish is the main language spoken in Costa Rica and only about 10% of the population speaks English.

Currency: The official currency of Costa Rica is Colón.

Credit Cards and Banks: Credit cards and the US dollar are widely accepted in Costa Rica. Many Costa Rican businesses will even have their prices listed in dollars. There are also numerous ATMS if travelers find themselves wanting local currency.

Best Time to Visit: Dry season in Costa Rica is from mid-December to April which is considered the best time to visit. However, travelers will likely deal with large crowds and higher prices. During May to November are when prices are lower but you may deal with a little rain here and there.
